How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?

Georgia law requires one to be 18 years old, regardless of parental consent. Please bring a valid, unexpired government ID to your appointment. If you do not, we cannot tattoo you. It's the law.

How much do tattoos cost?

Pricing will vary based on design, size, placement and such. We highly recommend a consultation with an artist for larger pieces, this will give you a better idea on pricing.

Can I bring a friend or child with me to my appointment?

You can bring a friend, one, with you to your appointment. Keep in mind that getting a tattoo can often take several hours, and your friend may be bored. Due to space and comfort of our clients and artists, we cannot permit more than one guest at a time. Children are not allowed in the studio, as one must be 18 years old to be in a tattoo studio.

Is it going to hurt?

Yes, yes it does. After all, it is a tattoo and tattoos use needles to implant pigment into your skin. It feels similar to scratching a sun burn, not unbearable, but not relaxing.

Is it safe to get a tattoo?

Here at Mystic Owl Tattoo, it most certainly is. We use a new, sterile setup for each client, cover all contact surfaces with a barrier, and use disposable items for preparation, all for your safety. We follow a strict cross contamination protocol and work together with the Cobb County Health Department to ensure safety to all of our clients.

Do I need an appointment?

No, but we recommend one. For larger pieces it is best to schedule a consultation beore hand to discuss your ideas with your artist. This helps to ensure you are both on the same page. Sometimes we are able to accommodate small pieces the same day. The best way to find out is to give us a call at 678-594-0533. If you're in a hurry keep in mind that tattoos are permanent and there is no need to rush something that will be on you forever.
